Who is God?
He is what He is, and does what He does.
He's Pure and Perfect Goodness,
Righteousness,
Holiness,
Justice,
Love,
Grace,
Mercy,
Faithfulness,
Light,
Truth,
Power,
and the list goes on and on forever.
There is no darkness in Him. God can do ANYTHING, but He cannot do, think, or be evil at all, or sin at all. He cannot deceive or lie. Man cannot grasp who or how God is, and the only way that anyone will see God, or see how He is, depends solely on God revealing Himself to man.
God is boundless and will not be put into a man-made box.
People in the Old Testament believed that if they saw God they would die because they realized that man is unable to receive the fullness of God into themselves because man does not have the capacity or the capability. So God puts into man what they can, or will, receive, or what man will be able to handle, little glimpses or little parts or bits of God, of how He is and who He is.
At the time of the Pharisees in the New Testament, they thought they had God figured out: all that He loves, all that He hates, all that He thinks is right, all that He thinks is wrong, His complete interpretation of His Law, His chosen people, His rejected people, how He works, moves, and judges, and more. They thought that they alone knew God, and nobody understood, believed in, or was truly obeying God and His Law except for themselves. The Pharisees believed, and convinced others, that they were the only accepted people by God and that one could not enter into Heaven unless one accepted their own idea of who and how God is.
The Pharisees thought they had the corner market on God,
and they deceived themselves into thinking
that they fully had God contained in their little box,
or their little religion.
God has shown "HIMSELF" to many people in the 2x2 fellowship, resulting in many leaving the fellowship, "Wow! The workers believe they alone understand God, who He is and how He is!
The workers think they have the corner market on God!"
(Just like the Pharisees thought they solely had!)
If one believes that Jesus was anything less than God in the flesh, then one has a false idea about God. More workers are saying they believe this now, but they are not announcing it, or denouncing their former beliefs. If the little children that have recently professed are asked if they know this, or if they have even ever heard this, they will probably say "no". This very powerful belief, that Jesus was fully God and fully man, is one of the most important truths about God.
- If one does not believe in the Trinity, with every person of God equal in substance and being, then one has a false idea about God.
- If one does not think that Jesus ought to be worshipped, then one has a false idea about God.
- If one does not think that Jesus was much more than a pattern or example, then one has a false idea about God.
- If one believes that "The Way" or "The Truth" is anything other than Jesus, then one has a false idea about God.
- This list could also go on and on.
There was a little girl that professed at the age of 11 at Mt Sterling convention in Illinois. The following is what she and her peers were taught to believe about God while growing up in the 2x2 fellowship.
- God watches you at all times and waits for you to step one little toe out of line so then He can punish you harshly because that is what is best for you.
- God wants you to profess because then you will stop doing bad things and it's the only way you have a chance of being a good person.
- God loves it when you remember to read your Bible and pray every morning and night, go to every single meeting, and when you don't do anything on Sunday except hang around the house and read the paper, but when you profess you HAVE TO do it.
- God loves to watch people suffer. He loves it when girls suffer and are rejected by their classmates in school because of how they look and dress. He loves it when their legs are cold in winter. When classmates ask me over and over why I am different and make fun of me, God wants me to just remember that I am better than them.
- God wants people to make each other suffer so that they will get a bigger reward in Heaven.
- God wants to save only a few so He has made it so that almost no one can win no matter how much they try, but you might go to Heaven if you just keep trying all your life, and if you still go to meeting when you die.
- God has chosen the workers to be just the same as Jesus and they are full of the Holy Spirit so that they can tell you what you should be doing and tell you the answer to all of your problems without even knowing what the problem is.
The above is what Satan wants us to believe about God. Satan is thrilled when we believe wrong things about God, and in so doing, worship a false god.
The workers are taking advantage of little children, and people of all ages, that have a sincere desire to give their lives to God and that have a great fear of going to hell.
The workers are attempting to sell anyone they come in contact with,
their own traditional boxed-up version of God that they call
"The Truth" and "The Way".
