The following is an account of some details of the life,
teaching, and actions
of an ex-overseer of the fellowship
often known as
the 2-by-2’s.
He spent an extended period of time preaching in our field, in the 1980’s.
He had a friendly, engaging smile. A tall man, of proper weight, he was considered by some to be a handsome man.
- However, as he became better known, we discovered that he thought very highly of himself.
- It soon became apparent that he was critical of almost everyone, other than himself.
One of his favorite subjects, in gospel meetings, was a comparison of people in the fellowship, to logs burning in the fireplace. The focus of this comparison was that we in the fellowship needed to be close enough to one another to burn brightly, but not so close that we would put the fire out.
Another of his gospel meeting topics was correcting the young people of the fellowship. He was highly disturbed that the young people liked to get together occasionally, and go swimming at a local community pool. He expressed that this was a very bad practice, because when the boys and girls saw each other, at gospel meeting, all they would be thinking about is what they looked like without their clothes on!
He had become increasingly critical of his older, and sickly companion, Lowell Klebb, both in front of, and behind his back. So when it was decided that he would have a new companion, he heralded the arrival of the fine young worker, Kenny Wahlin, whom many friends knew was a sexual pervert. Both in and out of gospel meetings, he went to repeated and excessively great lengths to tell everyone, how wonderful this young worker was.
He was often seen, at convention preps, sitting with young sister workers in the dinning area, at break and meal times. It was very obvious that his hand, on the side between him and the women, was always under the table, even while eating.
One friend, who was seated at a nearby table, at exactly the strategic position, clearly saw him holding hands with one young sister worker, whose name we will not presently expose, and it was obvious that they both were enjoying it. It was suspected by many, that more than holding hands was often happening under the table.
He often chose to go to a widow woman’s home, Buelah Gilliland, for lunch or dinner. In discussions with us, about the workers, she told us that she had been repeatedly molested by an old worker, as a child. She also expressed great concern about what was happening in her home. She said that this worker, when he came for lunch, would frequently schedule appointments with young professing girls of the area. She told us the names of the girls, and expressed great concern for them, as this worker would take the girls into a bedroom, saying that he needed to talk to them in private. She expressed to us that she did not know what to do, as the girls often came out very upset, and because she had seen many examples, through the years, of how the overseers would put out of the church any who exposed such matters.
Steve Miller, an elder of the church in our community, told us that this worker had made an appointment for dinner, and to spend the night in their home. He told Steve that he was bringing a young professing woman with him, who would also be spending the night. They arrived, had dinner, and then spent time visiting. Steve later told us, that as bedtime approached, the worker caught Steve in private, and told him that he wanted Steve to put them in bedrooms in the basement. Steve, much to his credit, was highly incensed, and put one of them in a first floor bedroom, and the other in a basement bedroom. He very much believed that the worker was planning sexual relations with the woman, but didn’t know of anything to do, other than to put them on separate floors. He also, for many years, had seen what happened to anyone who exposed such matters, and was not willing for that cost.
This worker was later moved to southern states, by his overseers, and eventually became the overseer of Texas. He spoke in a Texas special meeting, of how the Internet is a cesspool. If only he had examined his own heart, long decades ago, recognized that his soul was the cesspool, and had repented of his evil.

A letter by overseer Ray Hoffman, posted here on "VOT", clearly acknowledges that Hobbs is a pedophile.
Overseer Lyle Schober has made it known that the overseers knew Hobbs was a pedophile for 50 years, before exposing him to the world. Instead of exposing him 50 years ago, and saving countless girls and women from this predator, the overseers continued to hide, protect, and enable him, crowning their evilness by making him an overseer!
Please read the account, written by Jean Trotter Austin and posted here on "VOT", of how Hobbs repeatedly abused her, as a child, and weep with all others who care about children. It is an account that exposes the corruption of cesspool Ira Hobbs. She describes how he laughed as she cried in pain when he inserted his sharp nailed finger into her vagina, and how he sighed in pleasure as he made her hold his organ. Obviously, being that close to her made the fire in his evil, Satan filled heart, burn brighter. He liked to tell others to not get too close, to keep the fire burning.

lying hypocrite, ex-overseer pedophile Hobbs really is!
Members of the fellowship, if that overseer acknowledged account does not make you weep, and then work to put the evil overseers out of your fellowship, you are as dead as your leaders.
I have written this account for several reasons.
- (1.) To further expose this man of evil, Ira Hobbs, in the hopes that in the near future, justice will be done, and he will be put in prison.
- (2.) To warn parents of children, in the fellowship, of how some of the workers and overseers of their fellowship operate, in fulfilling their sexual perversions.
- (3.) To expose the evil leaders of the fellowship to the friends, in the hope that they will come to understand that they can rise up and put these men out of the fellowship, by simply not allowing them in their homes and by not giving them financial support. By law, they must also report the child molesters, and the overseers hiding child molesters, to the law, and have them put in prison to prevent more child molestation.
I ask you members of the fellowship,
“How long will you allow your children to be molested by your preachers and leaders?”
It has been going on for well over 100 years, from the time William Irvine started his “Great Experiment”.
God is watching you.
You are responsible for the safety of the children, both in your own families, as well as in your fellowship. I so hope that some of you will wake up, and restore to your children their God given right to not be molested by pedophiles like ex-overseer, Ira Hobbs, and many other workers and overseers!

What will you do?
Will you continue to say, “whatever the workers say”, or will you protect your children?

If you think there is no price for not protecting them, then please read in Ezekiel 33, about the watchman. God is the same, yesterday, today, and forever.
The USA is greatly blessed that Taylor Woods is dead and gone. He was so corrupt that he promoted a 50 year know pedophile, Ira Hobbs, as overseer of Texas!
Like-minded, hand picked, overseers follow in his evil footsteps. Many of your leaders are dead and evil! I hope you will wake up and be a watchman!
God will be pleased for even one child saved from such evil!
