The Ballad of the Workers of Northern Ireland!

I must agree with _ _ _ _ _ 's suggestion that you will

find John Johnston very helpful.

He was certainly very helpful to me.

In fact, he was SO helpful to me,

that halfway through a visit to my home,

I made up my mind never to have anything to do with the 2x2 church again.

During his visit, Mr. Johnston helped me to realize that the foundation of the “the truth” was based upon a lie and that the senior workers would go to any length to deceive people into believing that it wasn't.

He also managed to conduct himself in such a manner, that I also came to realize that the senior worker's self-constructed image of themselves as God's only true servants, humble and childlike, etc., was nothing but a great big joke.

Just scratch the surface and they bleed. Just like any old dog dying in the ditch!!!

I asked Mr. Johnston about William Irvine and he told me that he knew more about Mr. Irvine than I did. As he had no idea what I knew about Mr. Irvine, it seemed to me a peculiar comment to make at the time.

However, it also seemed to me like an ideal time to ask him about Mr. Irvine's role in the foundation of “the truth.”

So I did.

And, would you believe it, he told me that he DID NOT KNOW ANYTHING about the foundation as they (the workers, I presume), didn't have any records.

Very helpful, indeed!!!

Mr. Johnston preached publicly (to any who were listening) in his mission prior to this conversation, the familiar nonsense that, “any church started by a man is a false church,” followed by the inevitable (you can almost see it coming), “this is the ONLY church not started by a man.”

  • Why preach the truth when you can preach a big fat lie instead?
  • Why be honest about the embarrassing role of the founder, Mr. Irvine, when you can cover it up and get away with it?

This is exactly the sort of false preaching that is designed to deceive people like you into believing that this last surviving bastion of Cooneyism is the “only true way.”

By their fruits shall ye know them, and if this form of preaching is the one true gospel, then by my fruits I'll be known and I'll be a banana!!!

I asked Mr. Johnston about this cover up of the embarrassing role of the equally embarrassing Mr. Irvine, undertaken by the senior workers.

  • He said no such cover up had ever taken place.

Unfortunately for him, and to the eternal credit of Jon Bart, his companion, Mr. Bart agreed with me that such a cover up HAD taken place in the past and that it was wrong.

Thank you Mr. Bart!!!

Mr. Bart's Catholic background obviously provided him with a greater measure of honesty than the influence of Mr. Johnston and all the senior workers put together.

Needless to say, I have never heard of poor Mr. Bart again.

If, as Mr. _ _ _ _ _ states, that Mr. Johnston is helpful in discussions about the foundation, I can only assume it is because he, in his infinite wisdom, has finally realized that the game is up.

No doubt, he and the likes of Alan Cooke have realized that they had better come up with some rather more challenging explanation for the existence of all that website material than the explanations of those elderly workers whom you refer to.

If the circus leaves town, then what shall become of the clowns???

Whether they have more success in this field than they did in the harvest field remains to be seen. I like to think that I have influenced more people to forsake the way of Messrs Irvine, Cooney, and Carroll, etc., than some of the workers have influenced to join.

Believe me, if you want to get honest answers to honest questions, do not ask the workers.

Most importantly, do NOT ask the elderly workers of Northern Ireland.

For those who have not lost touch with reality, reality has long since lost touch with them. Many appear to be suffering from that form of incurable madness found only in those who are no longer answerable to anyone.

Granted, it may not be the obvious sort of madness that causes one to find oneself reciting the name of the prophet Zechariah in the night, but it's equally as mad and equally as dangerous.

Rather like Mr. Irvine's own form of madness, I believe!!

I have heard the theories, slept through the sermons and pondered the possibilities until my ear ached in the most painful of places.

My only conclusion is that the workers will twist the scriptures

to suit themselves and then twist themselves

to suit whatever it takes to make people like you

believe in whatever it is they want you to believe.

I can only assume that the reason that you asked these very people those very questions, is because they were the ONLY people in the world who would give you the very answers that you wanted.

Take heed of the late Oscar Wilde's observation. There are only two tragedies in life, one is not getting what you want and the other is getting what you wanted.

Just ask Mr. Tanner!!!

Ah, now, there's a subject about which you may wish to seek honest answers form those same elderly gentlemen in Northern Ireland!!!
